Anyone age 16 or older may enroll in a short-term class on a first-come, first-served basis. Certain regulations may apply. Enrollment is taken by the Adult Education/ACD staff Monday through Thursday from 8AM-9:30PM.

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

Learn the theory and basic knowledge of pharmacy information systems, regulatory, legal and ethical considerations, drug calculations, terminology and other skills. A national certification is available upon successful completion of this program and the national CPhT exam.

* Pharmacy Tech course consists of 136 hours classroom and 40 hr externship. Externship hours are required to complete course. Externships will be arranged by the ACD staff & instructor.

PHLEBOTOMY

Phlebotomists obtain and prepare blood samples for physicians to analyze. Learn proper techniques of blood sample collection, gain knowledge of the circulatory system, awareness of medical/legal ethics, and communicate as a member of a healthcare team. Phlebotomy consists of 48 classroom instruction hours and 40 clinical hours. Clinical hours will be arranged by ACD staff and/or instructor only.
