Student Life - Opportunities to Plug In
Central Tech Ambassadors
The Ambassadors’ Leadership Class identifies high school students with the desire, experience and characteristics to become leaders at Central Tech, in their communities and as Central Tech ambassadors. Activities to enhance these qualities take place during the school year and include, but are not limited to, team-building activities (ropes course), meetings with legislators in their communities and at the State Capitol, and community service projects. Interested students apply in September and are selected during the 1st nine-week period.
Student Organizations
Students are encouraged to join the national career and technical student organization that best represents their area of study. These organizations prepare students for success, teach real-world business skills and problem-solving abilities, and help develop leadership and technical skills needed in the workforce. Our student organizations include Business Professionals of America (BPA), Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) and SkillsUSA.
Community Outreach Opportunities
At Central Tech, students have many opportunities to reach out to their communities through various service projects. Students have participated in the following:
- Salvation Army - canned food drive & ringing bells
- Angel Tree
- Relay for Life - activities to raise money
- Making books for kindergarten classes
- Canned food drives for local food pantries
- Volunteered with Special Olympics activities

Showcase
Every Year, Central Tech invites students from surrounding schools to come check out what Central Tech is all about. As many as seventeen schools send their students to learn how they can learn skills that they won't find inside a normal classroom.
