Nineteen students completed their studies in the Practical Nursing class and are on their way to licensure.

 

During the month of June, Central Tech celebrated nineteen Practical Nursing students who graduated from the Drumright and Sapulpa campuses. On June 25, eleven students graduated from Drumright and on June 11, eight students graduated from Sapulpa.

 

The Practical Nursing program prepares students to safely administer entry-level nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Students learn basic sciences, nursing principles and skills. Emphasis is placed on the fundamentals of patient care including pharmacology, intravenous therapy, medical-surgical nursing, pediatrics and mental health nursing.

 

Central Tech is a career and technical training center with locations in Drumright and Sapulpa, Okla. Central Tech offers hundreds of career choices in either full-time or short-term evening courses, with certifications and licensure available in most areas of study.
