The classes found inside the Central Tech Law, Public Safety, Security & Corrections program will help you become a hero, helping the public by providing legal and protective services.
UNARMED SECURITY - PHASE I&II
Phase I teaches how to interpret the Oklahoma Security Act, administer first aid, operate fire extinguishers, write field notes and reports, and interpret legal powers. Phase II will instruct you in public relations, communications, performing fixed post duties, patrolling, investigating security incidents, and terrorism awareness.
PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR - PHASE III
Course materials cover client responsibilities, private investigator laws, complying with the Fair Credit Act, conducting investigations and surveillance, and locating and communicating information.
FIREARMS TRAINING - PHASE IV
Students receive instruction in handgun safety, nomenclature and maintenance, fundamentals of marksmanship, handgun handling skills, handgun shooting positions, range procedures and legal issues. Must complete an MMPI evaluation before enrollment.
TASER - PHASE IV
The program is designed to provide training on the use of TASER brand conducted electrical weapons and is geared toward CLEET security officers, private investigators, and bail enforcers. Explore force options and decision-making tactics, medical issues, maintenance, and personal safety in addition to hands-on experience with a MILO range simulator. Prerequisites: CLEET Phase I & II.
OC PEPPER SPRAY
This course focuses on the proper deployment of Oleoresin Capsicum, OC, pepper spray. Unlike many classes the information provided is direct from the manufacturer of the products used. Topics included: tactical considerations, decontamination/first aid, protective gear, criminal and civil liabilities, and policies and procedures. Prerequisites: CLEET Phase I & II.
BAIL ENFORCER TRAINING - PHASE V
Bail Enforcement agents recover defendants who have failed to appear in court after undertaking a bail bond contract. Prerequisites: CLEET Phases I, II, & III
