In 2006 McNeil was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives to represent Creek County. She has held many distinguished positions, and is currently the chair of the A&B CareerTech Committee.

The Distinguished Service Award is a prestigious award presented by the Oklahoma ACTE, the professional organization for the state’s CareerTech administrators, teachers and staff members.
