Central Tech is proud to announce that Kaylee Lockwood, one of our outstanding team members, has been selected as a 2024 NextGen Under 30 Award honoree. This prestigious recognition is awarded to young professionals across Oklahoma who have demonstrated exceptional talent, leadership, and a commitment to making a positive impact in their communities.
Lockwood has made significant contributions to Central Tech through her innovative approach to education and her dedication to student success. As a key figure on the Employment Services team, she has implemented forward-thinking teaching strategies, particularly in her work with students with disabilities. Her personalized approach to pre-employment transition services has empowered many students to achieve their career goals and lead independent lives.
“Kaylee is a remarkable individual who goes above and beyond in her role,” said Shelly Rentz, employment services coordinator at Central Tech. “Her dedication to her students and her ability to balance her professional and personal responsibilities with grace is truly inspiring. She has been the driving force behind several successful initiatives, including our annual BEST (Building Employment Skills for Today) program and banquet. We are incredibly proud to see her recognized as one of Oklahoma’s rising stars.”
Kaylee’s achievements are a testament to her hard work, creativity, and unwavering commitment to both her students and the broader community. As a mentor and leader, she has continuously supported her colleagues, ensuring that the entire team thrives.
Kaylee Lockwood will be honored with the other honorees at two significant events later this year. She will be recognized at the NextGen Under 30 Award Ceremony at the State Capitol on Monday, September 9, 2024, and again at the NextGen Award Ceremony on Friday, November 15, 2024, at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Norman, OK. These events will celebrate her outstanding achievements alongside other distinguished honorees from across the state.
