Central Tech has received the most Gold Star of Excellence Awards.

 

Central Tech earned its 22nd consecutive Gold Star of Excellence Award at this year’s Annual CareerTech Summer Conference in Oklahoma City, August 2-3. Central Technology Center is the only technology center in the state of Oklahoma to receive the Gold Star of Excellence award every year since the award began in 1990.

 

For more than 40 years, Central Tech has been committed to being THE leader in technical education and workforce development. Central Tech achieves this by providing excellence in technical education to empower individuals and elevate the workforce. Today, more than 98 percent of completing students are placed in related careers or continuing education all secondary students hold membership in a professional student organizations. This year, Central Tech had students win first place at the state and national competition in BPA, HOSA and SkillsUSA.

 

Central Tech believes in providing a positive learning environment and elevating the worth of individuals. This is evident through a cooperative alliance agreement with six colleges and universities, through which Central Tech students earned more than 2,500 college credits last year.

 

Central Tech strives for excellence and has shown this through the years by being the first technology center to host a regional site for the Oklahoma School of Science & Mathematics, and one of the first centers in the state to offer Cyber Security training.

 

Central Tech encourages creativity and innovation while remaining visionary and agile. Because of this, Central Tech continually seeks to meet the needs of industry and has since established an LPN/Paramedic to RN Bridge program through a partnership with Tulsa Community College. On the Drumright campus, the Pipeline and Safety Training Center helps expand business and industry services while meeting the needs of area oil and gas companies.

 

Central Tech is a career and technical training center with locations in Drumright and Sapulpa, Okla. Central Tech offers hundreds of career choices in either full-time or short-term courses, with certifications and licensure available in most areas of study. Central Tech also offers assistance to area businesses with safety training, business development and more.
