Seven students completed their studies in the Practical Nursing class and are on their way to licensure.

 

Thursday, June 12 , Central Tech celebrated seven Practical Nursing students, from both the Drumright and Sapulpa campuses, who completed their studies, with commencement exercises.

 

The Practical Nursing program prepares students to safely administer entry-level nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Students learn basic sciences, nursing principles and skills with particular emphasis on the fundamentals of patient care including pharmacology, intravenous therapy, medical-surgical nursing, pediatrics and mental health nursing.

 

Central Tech is a career and technical training center with locations in Drumright and Sapulpa, Okla. Central Tech offers hundreds of career choices in either full-time or short-term evening courses, with certifications and licensure available in most areas of study.
