Central Tech connects employees with local employers through an online job board, www.centraltechbis.com/employment.html. It’s a placement service site offered to current and former students giving them access to local jobs. It also helps businesses get the word out to prospective employees about the jobs that are available locally.

Employers can go to www.centraltechbis.com/job-post.html to post their job openings on the Central Tech job board. All jobs stay posted for thirty days. If an employer has at least ten jobs or more posted weekly, a link is placed on the job board back to the employer’s website.

The job board has nine categories listed by industry. The categories are: Administration/Office, Computer/IT, Construction/Trades, Graphic Design & Multimedia, Healthcare, Law Enforcement and Security, Manufacturing, Service/Hospitality & Personal, and Transportations/Drivers & Mechanics. Even though companies may appear to be industry specific, i.e., St. John Health System, there may be jobs that aren’t necessarily industry specific, i.e., security guard. Prospective employees should check the listed company job sites as well.

Another added services on the Job Board is a listing of job fairs at the bottom of the page. Job seekers should check back regularly to see when the latest job fair is happening.
